Master Ji Ru
继如法师，出生於马来西亚。礼佛教大乘之父竺摩长老为师。1980-1986於泰国修学南传佛教教法。1986年回到马来西亚三慧讲堂任教法师及寺院管理工作。1992年来到美国於纽约大觉寺任主持。1993年任纽约佛教联合会秘书。1996年任美中佛教会（Mid-America Buddhist Association）副主席。1999年任美中佛教会方丈。於2000年，接任芝加哥正觉寺方丈。2002-2004年应邀请，任纽约庄严寺、大觉寺方丈。现如今为美中佛教会、芝加哥正觉寺（International Buddhism Friendship Association/Enlightenment temple ）、及佛教禅净中心(Buddhism Meditation Center)三所寺院方丈。
Born in Malaysia. Master Ji Ru studied Theravada Buddhism and ordained in that tradition in Thailand in 1980. He later studied Chinese Buddhism and ordained in that tradition under the late great Buddhist Master Venerable ZhuMo in 1986. Master Ji Ru was held several important teaching and administrative positions in the Malaysian Buddhist community, including the vice-chairmanship of the Buddhist Association of Malaysia Youth and religious advisor to the Sabah State Liaison Committee of Malaysia where he helped establish the “Sabah and Labuan Buddhist Educational Foundation.”
Shifu came to the United States in 1992 to give a Dharma Talk and shortly thereafter was appointed Abbot of Great Enlightenment Temple in New York. In 1993 he became Secretary of the Buddhist Union of New York.” In 1996 he became the vice-chairperson of the Mid-America Buddhist Association (MABA). He formed the Youth Buddhist Educational Foundation in the following year. In 1999 he became the Abbot of Mid-America Buddhist Association.
In 2000 he became abbot of the International Buddhism Friendship Association in Chicago. In 2002, he was appointed abbot of Chuang Yen Monastery and Great Enlightenment Temple in New York. He held those posts for two years before returning fulltime to MABA, where he now resides.
释智妙，自8岁在中国香港净慧苑长大。1967年正式出家，於1993年来到美国，在美国纽约庄严寺大觉寺修学。於1999年移至美中佛教会（Mid-America Buddhist Association）跟随继如法师修学。2002年搬到芝加哥正觉寺（International Buddhism Friendship Association/enlightenment temple）常住至今。
Bhikshuni Chimiu (釋智妙) has been practicing since the age of eight when she entered into Jing Hui Yuan in Hong Kong. She received her novice vows as a nun in 1963, and her higher ordination as a bhikshuni in 1967. She came to the United States in 1993, first practicing at Chuang Yen Monastery and The Temple of Enlightenment in New York. In 1999 she moved to MABA, where she practiced as a student of Master Ji Ru. In 2001, she moved to MABA’s sister Temple in Chicago, the International Buddhism Friendship Association (IBFA/Enlightenment Temple).
释空正，1989年8月於中国九华山无师自行剃度，随即修学戒法於广州无着庵至1991年夏季。时逢1994年礼继如法师为师。1991年至1996年於闽南佛学院就读本科毕业。1997-2001於福建种德佛学苑任职教务长及教授法师。2002年初移民美国，於美中佛教会常住（Mid-America Buddhist Association）至2007年移至芝加哥正觉寺（International Buddhism Friendship Association/enlightenment temple）至今。
Bhikshuni Kongzheng (釋空正), she received the tonsure ceremony in Aug, 1989 at Mount JiuHua in China, and studied Buddhism in Temple Wuzhuo in Guangzhou, China until Summer, 1991. She met Master Jiru and was converted to learn from him since 1994. She started her buddhism education in Zhongde MinNan Buddhist College in 1991 and graduated in 1996. She was a lecture in Buddhist College, Fujian Province between 1997 and 2001. She immigrated to USA in 2002 and lived in Mid-America Buddhist Association at the beginning. In 2007, she moved to MABA’s sister Temple in Chicago, the International Buddhism Friendship Association (IBFA/Enlightenment Temple).
Ven. Ming Jie
Ven. Ming Jie was born in Medan, Indonesia. In 2004, She studied Buddhism at Yuan Kuang Buddhist College in Taiwan. In 2005, she was ordained as a novice nun under venerable Hui-An in Taiwan. She received as Sikkhamanania ordination at Wu Kuang temple in 2006. Then, she took the full ordination at Yi De temple in 2008. In 2011, she graduated the Bachelor degree at Yuan Kuang Buddhist College. And, she moved forward for studying English in Kansas state. In 2012, she visited and started served at Chuang Yan Monastery which located in upstate New York. In 2016, she moved to chicago and is serving the International Buddhism Friendship Association (IBFA/Enlightenment Temple).
